IMD Issues Alert: 13 States to Receive Heavy Rainfall Between September 26 and 30

The monsoon has started withdrawing from many states in India, but heavy rainfall is still affecting eastern, western, and southern parts. According to the Meteorological Department, Chhattisgarh is expected to see widespread rainfall between September 26 and 29. Eastern Madhya Pradesh will receive rain on September 29 and 30, while western Madhya Pradesh will be impacted from September 28 to 30. The rain activity is likely to remain heavy in some areas, creating difficult conditions in these regions. Odisha will also experience heavy rainfall between September 26 and 27.

Eastern India Weather Update

The forecast indicates that eastern states will continue to witness light to moderate rain during this period. Heavy rainfall is expected in West Bengal, particularly during the Durga Puja festivities, which may impact celebrations. In Odisha, the rainfall from September 25 to 27 is likely to be intense. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands will also witness rainfall on September 25, 27, and October 1.

Western India Rain Alert

Gujarat has been placed under a rain warning from September 27 to 30. Central Maharashtra, along with Konkan and Goa, will experience rainfall from September 26 to October 1, with heavy showers likely on September 29. This extended period of rain may cause disruption in travel and daily life across the western belt.

North-East India Conditions

The latest IMD report highlights rainfall in Assam and Meghalaya from September 27 to October 1. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are forecasted to have rain on September 25 and 29. Arunachal Pradesh is expected to see rainfall on October 1. These continuous showers in the northeast region are likely to increase water levels in rivers and create flood risks in sensitive areas.

Southern States Weather Pattern

Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and coastal Andhra Pradesh are forecasted to receive rainfall until September 27. In Karnataka, rainfall will extend from September 26 to 29. These southern states may also experience thunderstorms in certain areas, leading to travel interruptions and affecting normal activities.

Uttar Pradesh Weather Outlook

The IMD has placed all districts of Uttar Pradesh in the green zone for September 26. This means no rainfall is expected. However, the humid heat will trouble residents, making daily life uncomfortable. After heavy floods in August, the absence of rain may bring some relief, but the humidity remains a major challenge.

Bihar Weather Situation

Bihar is not expected to receive rainfall on September 26. Some districts, however, may remain cloudy. This weather will provide some comfort to people after earlier spells of heavy rain.
