Warning of heavy rain in many districts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Sunday in districts like Mumbai, Thane and Palghar of Maharashtra. Heavy rain was also recorded in many parts of Mumbai on the previous day, due to which normal life was affected. From 8 am to 10 pm, an average of 6.80 mm of rain was recorded in Mumbai city, 11.53 mm in the eastern suburbs and 7.42 mm in the western suburbs. These figures show that the monsoon has now become fully active in Mumbai.
The weather can also change in Delhi-NCR
Sunday started with heavy rain in the country’s capital, Delhi. While the sun and humidity made people miserable on Saturday, the rain in the early hours of Sunday gave some relief. The Meteorological Department estimates that by Sunday evening, there may be heavy rains in Delhi and NCR once again, which will provide relief from the heat, but problems of traffic and waterlogging can also be seen.
Monsoon is raining like a hurricane in Uttar Pradesh
Monsoon has completely camped in the eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh. Rains have been continuing in many districts, including Varanasi, for the last few days. At the same time, people in western Uttar Pradesh are still struggling with humidity and heat, but if the Meteorological Department is to be believed, clouds may soon be kind here too. Light to moderate rain is expected in western UP from 27 to 30 July and in eastern UP from 26 to 31 July.
Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Bihar will also be wet
The Meteorological Department has said that some parts of western Madhya Pradesh may receive heavy rains today, while intermittent showers may also occur in eastern Madhya Pradesh. Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal and many areas of Bihar are also expected to receive good rains till July 30. At the same time, extremely heavy rainfall has been warned in eastern Rajasthan on July 27 and 28.
