The weather across India is taking a sharp turn as the monsoon gradually retreats. People in Delhi and NCR have started feeling a chill, with minimum temperatures around 20°C. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for several states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Maharashtra. The next four days, from October 11 to 14, are expected to bring significant rainfall in various regions.

Delhi Weather Update

In Delhi and NCR, the weather is expected to remain mostly clear over the coming days. On October 11, the day temperature may range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature may dip between 18 and 20 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, there are no chances of rain till October 13. Mornings and evenings will continue to feel slightly cold, indicating the arrival of early winter conditions in North India.

Weather Situation in Uttar Pradesh

The IMD has reported that the weather in Uttar Pradesh will remain clear on October 11 and 12. Due to bright sunshine, temperatures might slightly increase during the day. From October 13 to 15, the weather is expected to stay dry in both eastern and western parts of the state. There are no chances of rainfall or strong winds during the next five days, and the heat may continue during the daytime hours.

Weather Conditions in Bihar

With the monsoon ending in Bihar, cold winds have started blowing from the northwest, bringing a noticeable drop in temperature. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain clear across most districts including Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, and others. Mornings have become cooler, and the nights are turning pleasant as humidity levels reduce. The overall weather trend indicates the beginning of the post-monsoon phase in the state.

Heavy Rain in Odisha

Odisha is expected to experience light to moderate rainfall in many regions till October 11. The Meteorological Department has also warned of thunderstorms and gusty winds between October 11 and 12. Gangetic West Bengal and Chhattisgarh might also witness similar weather conditions on October 11. Residents are advised to stay alert as intermittent rain and wind activity could continue for the next few days.

Monsoon Withdrawal from Central India

The weather department has stated that conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of the monsoon from several states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand within the next 3–4 days. Gradual clearing of skies and cooler temperatures indicate that the monsoon is on its way out. The process is expected to be complete by mid-October, marking the official end of the rainy season in these regions.

Rain Warning in Northeast States

According to the IMD, light to moderate rain is expected in several northeastern states including Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on October 11. These areas are likely to witness brief spells of rain accompanied by cloudy skies. However, rainfall activity will gradually reduce after October 12 as the monsoon begins to retreat from eastern India as well.

South India Weather Outlook

In South India, similar conditions will persist for the next four to five days. Light rain may continue in some parts of Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, while other areas will see partly cloudy skies. The gradual withdrawal of monsoon from central regions will also impact southern states, leading to a slight drop in humidity and moderate temperature levels during mornings and evenings.
