IMD has issued an orange alert for many states regarding heavy rains between July 9 and 14. These include states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gujarat and Telangana. Very heavy rains have been predicted in these states on different days, which can create flood-like conditions in low-lying areas.

In East and Central India:
Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal will receive heavy rains. There is also a warning of very heavy rains in some areas. Apart from this, rain may occur with lightning and strong winds (30-40 km / h).
In North-West India:
Heavy to very heavy rains will occur in many parts of Himachal, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, eastern and western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. Very heavy rains are expected in eastern parts of Rajasthan on 11 and 12 July.
In West India:
Rain will continue in Konkan, Goa, valley areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat from 9 to 14 July. Very heavy rains may occur in Konkan and valley areas on 9 July.
In North-East India:
Continuous heavy rains are also forecast in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh.
In South India:
Coastal areas of Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana will receive heavy rains from July 9 to 14. Also, winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 km / h in many parts of South India.

There is news of relief for Mumbai. After July 9, the risk of heavy rains will reduce here. However, on July 9, Mumbai, Thane and Palghar have been put on yellow alert, while Raigad has been issued an orange alert. From July 10, light to moderate rains will be seen in Mumbai.
