According to the latest bulletin of IMD, monsoon has become fully active in the southern, northern and eastern states of the country and its effect will be quite widespread for the next few days. Heavy rains are expected especially in Kerala, Karnataka and Bihar, while an orange alert has been issued for Jammu and Kashmir and some other states. Orange alert means that the weather conditions may be severe, and the administration needs to be in alert mode.

Indian Weather Alert: There will be heavy rain in these districts

Heavy rains are expected in Thrissur, Ernakulam and Idukki districts of Kerala, where the ground is already wet and the risk of landslides may increase in hilly areas. Coastal areas of Karnataka like Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Kasargod will see rough seas and heavy rains.

The next few days will be challenging with heavy rains in many districts including Jamui, Patna, Bhojpur, Kaimur and Rohtas in Bihar. Monsoon is now going to reach its peak in Sonbhadra, Jaunpur, Mirzapur and Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh, which may affect life. Heavy rain warning has also been issued in Singrauli, Rewa and Sidhi in Madhya Pradesh.

Indian Weather Alert: How will the weather be in the capital,Delhi

Delhiites need relief as well as vigilance this week. According to the Meteorological Department, on July 16, the sky of Delhi will be overcast with clouds, and there is a possibility of thunder and lightning along with light to moderate rain. The maximum temperature may remain between 31 to 33 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature may remain between 23 to 25 degrees Celsius.

Monsoon effect will remain in North India for the next 7 days

The Meteorological Department has informed that from July 16 to 21, there will be continuous heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh. There are signs of heavy rains in Punjab on 16-17 and 21 July, while rain activity will remain in Haryana from 17 to 21 July.

There is a possibility of very heavy rains in Uttarakhand on 17, 20 and 21 July. Apart from this, thunderstorms and lightning may occur along with moderate to heavy rains in the western Himalayan region and plains for the next seven days.
