Hardik Pandya Explained the Reason Behind MI’s Defeat
After losing to Punjab Kings by 7 wickets, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya shared his thoughts during the post-match presentation. He said that the team was around 20 runs short based on the pitch conditions. He admitted that the team didn’t play their best cricket, which led to the defeat.
Hardik said, “We are playing good cricket. We have won five trophies, and it’s never easy. Our bowling was not sharp enough. They played good shots. We just want to continue playing good cricket.”
MI Missed Early and Middle Over Opportunities
Hardik also said that Mumbai missed chances to take control in the early and middle overs. He said, “We could have made an impact either at the start or in the middle overs. We’ll work on it. Our bowling was not accurate, and we bowled some loose balls that Punjab batsmen made full use of.”
