Salman Khan’s action-packed film Sikander was released on Eid 2025. With this film, the actor made a comeback on the big screen. South superstar Rashmika Mandanna appeared with him for the first time. Fans were excited to see their new pairing. But despite high expectations, the film did not perform well at the box office and was declared a flop.
Two months later, on May 25, Salman Khan announced the OTT release of Sikander with a powerful promo on Netflix. The promo received a great response on social media. People praised Salman Khan for his strong screen presence. However, just like in theatres, the film didn’t receive good reviews on OTT either.
Film Trolled After OTT Release
As soon as Sikander was released on OTT, Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s film started getting trolled on social media. People criticized Salman’s acting and said he looked dull and lacked energy. Viewers also mocked his action scenes and wrote, “The background music was good, but the dialogues and facial expressions were very weak.”
Audience Called It Salman Khan’s Worst Film
Many viewers called Sikander the worst film of Salman Khan’s career. One user wrote, “Even though I’m a fan of Salman Khan, I have to say this is his worst film. The direction, action, and music — everything felt bad.”
Sikander’s Box Office Shows Salman Khan’s Declining Stardom
Sikander’s box office performance clearly showed that Salman Khan’s stardom was not as strong as before. Despite being an Eid release and directed by AR Murugadoss, the film earned only ₹110.1 crore in India. This was disappointing for a big-budget Salman Khan movie.
Actor Met Fans After Negative Response
After the film’s release, Salman Khan met some of his angry fans to listen to their feedback. The meeting took place on April 6. According to a source from Bollywood Hungama, “Salman was touched by his fans’ love and concern. He admitted that he felt from the beginning that something was not right about Sikander. He said it didn’t feel like a proper big film.”
Salman Promised to Choose Better Films
During the meeting, Salman promised his fans that he would now choose films that make them happy. This came after hashtags like ‘Salman Khan Do Better Films’ and ‘Salman Listen To Your Fans’ started trending on the social media platform X.
