Slight increase in earnings on the third day, but no jump
Rajkumar Rao and Manushi Chillar’s “Maalik” got mixed reviews in the initial days. While some viewers praised the story and performance of the film, some felt its script and pace were lacking. There was some growth on Sunday, but the hope of a big jump remained unfulfilled. The film earned 5.55 crores on Sunday, which is just a little more than Saturday’s 5.45 crores.

The total weekend collection of the film has now reached 15.02 crores. Although it is far from the top 10 opening weekends of 2025, the film has still managed to surpass some previous flops. “Maalik” has beaten titles like “Mere Husband Ki Biwi” (12.25 crores), “The Bhootni” (12.52 crores) and “Badass Ravi Kumar” (13.78 crores).
Comparison with Rajkummar Rao’s previous films
If we talk about Rajkummar Rao’s previous films, then his successful film of this year “Bhool Chuk Maaf” earned 28.71 crores over the weekend, which is about 48% more than the earnings of “Maalik”. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to say that “Maalik” has not shown its full potential yet.
