The Bihar Government is taking big steps to make women financially strong. Under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, direct financial help is being given to women so that they can start their own business. Each beneficiary is getting ₹10,000 directly in their bank account. This initiative is seen as a strong effort to make women self-reliant.
Fund Transfer Dates Announced
The first installment of ₹10,000 has already been released jointly by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Now the state government has declared the upcoming dates of fund transfer. According to the official information, beneficiary women will receive the amount in their accounts on October 3, 17, 24, and 31. These dates are set for smooth and timely transfers.
Regular Support in November and December
The support will not end in October. Beneficiary women will also get the same installment in November and December. The dates fixed for November are 7, 14, 21, and 28. In December, transfers will happen on 5, 12, 19, and 26. All these dates fall on Fridays. The government has also clarified that small changes are possible if required due to administration work.
Purpose of the Scheme
The main purpose of the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme is not only to provide financial help but also to give confidence to women. The scheme is designed to push women towards self-employment so that they can earn on their own. This step is expected to change the lives of many women across both rural and urban areas of Bihar.
Interest-Free Loan for Expansion
Apart from the first help of ₹10,000, the scheme also brings a big opportunity for women. If a woman manages her business well and shows scope for growth, then within six months the government will provide an interest-free loan of up to ₹2 lakh. This facility is aimed at helping women expand their business and achieve long-term financial independence.
Application Process for Rural Women
The Bihar government has kept the process simple so that more women can take advantage. In rural areas, women can apply through their nearest Village Organization. Those who are not linked to a Self-Help Group need to first fill the application in the given format and then submit it to the Village Organization. This ensures that even women outside SHGs can access the benefit.
Application Process for Urban Women
Urban women who are already connected with a Self-Help Group can apply during the meetings of Area Level Organization or Village Organization. The process has been kept transparent to make participation easy. For women living in towns and cities who are not part of any SHG, the facility of online application is available at the official website.
A Path Towards Self-Reliance
Through this scheme, the Bihar government is making a clear attempt to encourage women towards business and self-employment. The combination of direct financial assistance and interest-free loan is expected to bring long-term results. Women will not only get the funds but also an opportunity to grow their businesses and improve their family’s income.
