Kia has once again surprised the Indian market by launching the new Carens Clavis EV HTX E variant. As the electric revolution accelerates in India, this model sits between the HTK+ and HTX trims and comes with a price tag of ₹19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has added several advanced features, making it a luxurious, tech-loaded EV for both family buyers and modern drivers.

Engine

Under the hood, the Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX E comes with two powertrain options. The standard variant features a 42kWh battery delivering 135hp power and 255Nm torque. The extended-range version comes equipped with a 51.4kWh battery offering 171hp power and the same torque of 255Nm. Both setups ensure quick acceleration, smooth performance, and excellent handling for city and highway driving.

Mileage

When it comes to range, Kia offers two choices to suit different needs. The standard 42kWh variant provides an ARAI-certified range of 404 km, while the extended-range 51.4kWh variant goes up to 490 km on a single charge. This impressive distance capability makes the Clavis EV ideal for long journeys without frequent charging breaks, ensuring peace of mind for daily commuters and travelers alike.

Other Specifications

Kia has launched the Carens Clavis EV in six trims — HTK+, HTX E, HTX E ER, HTX, HTX ER, and HTX+ ER — ranging from ₹17.99 lakh to ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The HTX E trim targets buyers seeking luxury features but without the ADAS package, which is available in higher trims. The car also offers LED lighting, leather-wrapped steering, tilt and telescopic adjustment, and a smart air purifier, adding convenience and sophistication to every drive.

Price and Offer

The Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX E is priced at ₹19.99 lakh for the standard model and ₹21.99 lakh for the extended-range variant. Considering the range and comfort features on offer, the car stands as an appealing package for Indian EV buyers. With its competitive pricing, Kia aims to attract customers who want luxury and performance at a practical price.

Another Features

This variant boasts a panoramic sunroof, dual-tone interior theme in beige and navy blue, and 64-colour ambient lighting, elevating its overall premium feel. The smart features, like retractable seatback tables and voice-controlled window operation, add convenience to every journey. The LED interior lights and anti-glare IRVM further enhance the modern appeal of the Clavis EV.

Look and Design

In terms of styling, Kia has retained its elegant design language but refined it with subtle updates. The 17-inch alloy wheels available in the Extended Range model add a sporty look. The premium leatherette upholstery complements the refined cabin, offering a blend of comfort and luxury. Overall, the design ensures that the Clavis EV looks futuristic and classy on the road.

Performance

On performance grounds, the Carens Clavis EV HTX E delivers powerful acceleration and smooth driving dynamics. The standard motor provides ample power for urban roads, while the extended-range version ensures extra performance for longer drives. With its efficient power delivery, silent operation, and precise handling, this EV guarantees an enjoyable driving experience every time.
