Citroen has launched its new electric hatchback, the eC3, in the Indian market. The car is gaining attention for its stylish design and advanced features. It is a fully electric model based on the C3 hatchback. Citroen claims it offers a perfect blend of comfort, practicality, and modern technology, making it an ideal choice for city driving.

Engine

The Citroen eC3 comes equipped with a powerful electric motor that delivers 57 PS of power and 143 Nm of peak torque. It is designed for smooth and silent performance, providing a comfortable driving experience. The power is transmitted to the front wheels through a single-speed automatic transmission, ensuring effortless driving in urban conditions.

Mileage

Being an electric vehicle, the Citroen eC3 offers an impressive range. It can cover up to 320 km on a single full charge as per ARAI standards. The car supports both standard and fast charging options. With a DC fast charger, it can charge from 10% to 80% in just 57 minutes, while the regular charger takes around 10 hours for a full charge.

Other Specifications

The Citroen eC3 is built on the company’s CMP platform and features a 29.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The car supports two driving modes – Eco and Standard – allowing drivers to adjust performance as per their needs. It measures 3981 mm in length and offers a ground clearance of 170 mm, which is quite suitable for Indian roads. The boot space is 315 litres, providing good storage capacity.

Price and Offer

The Citroen eC3 is available in two variants – Live and Feel. The starting ex-showroom price is Rs 12.69 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.41 lakh for the top variant. Citroen is also offering easy finance options and extended warranty packages to attract more buyers. This makes it a strong competitor in the affordable EV segment of India.

Another Features

Citroen has included several modern features in the eC3. It offers a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The car also includes keyless entry, connected car technology, manual AC, and a digital instrument cluster. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

Look and Design

The eC3 follows Citroen’s unique design language with a dual-tone exterior, signature LED DRLs, and bold color options. It looks almost identical to the petrol-powered C3 but carries “e” badging to mark its electric identity. The raised stance and sporty bumper design give it a youthful appearance that appeals to young buyers.

Performance

On the road, the Citroen eC3 delivers a balanced and smooth performance. Its electric motor provides instant torque for quick acceleration, and the suspension setup ensures a comfortable ride even on rough surfaces. The steering is light, making it ideal for daily city commutes. Overall, the eC3 combines practicality with electric efficiency in an attractive package.
