These include Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Nawada, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Kaimur, Siwan, Saran, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, and Munger. The department said that the monsoon is active over the state, and moisture from the Bay of Bengal is continuously reaching Bihar, increasing rain activity.
Thunderstorm and Lightning Warning
Along with rainfall, the IMD has also warned of thunderstorms and lightning in several districts. People working in open areas or farmlands have been advised to take shelter during lightning. The wind speed may reach up to 40 kmph during the thunderstorm, causing minor damage to weak structures and trees. The department also mentioned that power supply and road traffic could face temporary disruption.
