This Month New Electric Car From Tata It May Tata Altroz EV
Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML), the electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary owned by Tata Motors, is gearing up to introduce a new EV in the Indian market. The company recently sent out media invites for the Global Unveil Program of a new mysterious electric car scheduled for April 29, 2022.
Tata Motors has not yet given any specific information about the upcoming electric car. However, it is believed that the company will unveil the production specs version of the Altroz EV or the much-awaited long-range Nexon EV. Whether it is the Altroz EV, an updated Nexon EV, or a new model, we will know on April 29.
The Tata Altroz EV was unveiled in its pre-production concept avatar at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Apart from this, it was also showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 in India. However, there are very few details about its powertrain, though it is likely to be shared with the Nexon EV. The Tata Nexon EV currently gets a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack along with an electric motor.
This powertrain generates 129 hp power and 245 Nm torque and claims to deliver a driving range of 312 km per charge. The much-awaited Nexon EV is expected to get a 40 kWh battery pack, which is claimed to offer a range of over 400 km on a full charge. Tata Motors recently announced its plans to launch ten new electric cars in India over the next five years across different segments.
