Which mid-range smartphone delivers the best experience?

Both the recently launched OnePlus and POCO are under mid-range powerhouses. While both the smartphones may look alike, there are some differences. It is difficult to say which smartphone is ‘better’ as both OnePlus Nord 2 and Poco F3 GT bring unique features to the table. The POCO F3 GT is a slightly more affordable option to mention, as it costs Rs 26,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage in India. However, you can buy it in the next two weeks for Rs 25,999. Whereas OnePlus Nord 2, its base variant with the same 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs Rs 27,999. However, you won’t be able to shop until August, and even then it will still be available in limited quantities. For now, only the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the OnePlus Nord 2, which is priced at Rs 29,999 in India, will be available for sale on July 26 as part of the Amazon Prime Day sale and Red Cable First sale, after which it will be available for sale at Rs. There will be an open sale. 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB options on July 28.

Elaborating on the display, the POCO F3 GT has a better display, with its 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel clocked at 120Hz. It also supports HRD10+ and has a typical brightness of 500 nits. The OnePlus Nord 2, on the other hand, uses a smaller 6.4-inch OLED panel with support for 90Hz and HDR10+. The camera options except the primary sensor, POCO F3 GT, and OnePlus Nord 2 have almost identical camera specifications. The POCO F3 GT uses a 64MP primary sensor, while the OnePlus Nord 2 borrows the 50MP ultrawide sensor from the OnePlus 9 to serve as the primary camera. While the latter is better on paper, OnePlus phones often require several software updates to keep their cameras working properly. As far as the remaining camera hardware is concerned, both the phones use an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. However, the OnePlus Nord 2 comes with a 32MP selfie camera as opposed to the 16MP module on the POCO F3 GT. Based on the raw specifications, the OnePlus Nord 2 should be the winner here, but OnePlus’ software prevents us from crowning the winner just yet. Battery

The powerbank POCO F3 GT comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging at 67W. In comparison, the OnePlus Nord 2 packs a reduced 4,500mAh and 65W charging. The extra 2W wattage doesn’t make much sense, but the 500mAh difference can make quite a difference. So here POCO F3 GT is a better option.
