Recently, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has created a portal to find all the phone numbers registered against your Aadhar card. So that every person can check the Aadhaar linked number individually. The portal is very beneficial to block a particular number which no longer exists.
DoT had launched the Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAFCOP) portal in April to enable telecom subscribers to search all phone numbers registered against their Aadhaar number. The portal is currently available only in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, though it is expected that the DoT has mentioned that it will soon be expanded to all consumers in the country. Like the FAFCOP portal, the FAFCOP portal is designed to “help the customers, check the number of mobile connections working in their name and take necessary action to regularize their additional mobile connections.”
DoT has guidelines that allow registration of maximum nine mobile connections for each subscriber. Here are some of the ways through which you can check the count from the TAFCOP portal. Here’s how you can check it all.
• Visit the TAFCOP portal and enter your active mobile number.
• Click on Request OTP button.
Enter the OTP received on your phone and press Validate.
• The TAFCOP portal will now show you the numbers linked to your Aadhaar number.
• The portal also allows users to report if the numbers themselves are not in use or not required.
