Smartphone brand iQOO announced the launch of its first gaming IP “iQOO All Stars Cup”. In the gaming tournament, teams will compete in the popular mobile game Battlegrounds Mobile India.
The iQOO event went live on August 26, at 6:00 PM, and will go on till August 31, 2021. The gaming event by iQOO will be live-streamed on the official YouTube channel of iQOO Esports, and iQOO fans will be able to watch it. Six Days of Esports Fighting. The tournament will host a competition between the top 16 BGMI teams in India. In addition, the brand suggests that as part of the prize pool, the top three winners of the tournament will receive a winning amount. The brand announced the winning prize of Rs 5,00,000. Certain amounts will also be offered to the “Fully Loaded Performer”, aka the tournament’s MVP. The gaming event comes as the latest attempt by iQOO to consolidate its position in the gaming industry in India. The company has launched a range of smartphones with an aim to impart gaming prowess to the users. iQOO 7 Legend is one such example that sells in India for a starting price of Rs 39,990 for the 8GB RAM variant.
On growing the gaming ecosystem in India, Gagan Arora, Director-Marketing iQOO commented, “We see great potential in the growing esports space and are committed to empowering the next generation of gamers in the country.” Additionally, the brand iQOO also recently launched its new era flagship smartphones in China. iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro, the new devices from iQOO, arrive as the successor to the iQOO 7 series. The devices are going to go on sale in China later this month, but their availability in India is yet to be indicated.
