Apple has acknowledged that audio has been problematic on some iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices. The firm has stated that it is ready to repair the damaged items.
The business claims that only a small fraction of devices are affected. According to Apple, smartphones manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021 have a problem with a component on the receiver module. According to Apple, the repair will be free of charge, and the problem will not affect the iPhone 12 Mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max. “If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not emit sound from the receiver when making or receiving calls, it may be eligible for service,” the Cupertino-based company said.
Apple is working to resolve the issue ahead of the expected announcement of new iPhones in the coming weeks. According to persons informed about the situation, the basic appearance of the new model will be the same as the iPhone 12, but will have better camera capabilities and other features.
