Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone has been launched in China. The Matte X2 comes with a completely different folding mechanism than its previous version. In this phone, the man screen turns inward like the Samsung Galaxy Fold model instead of turning outward. The phone comes with a quad rear camera setup and a single selfie shooter.

Huawei Mate X2 is priced at CNY 17,999 (approx. Rs. 2.01 lakh) for the 8GB + 256GB variant in China and CNY 18,999 (roughly Rs. 2,12 lakh) for the 8GB + 512GB variant. It has been offered in bright black, ice crystal blue, ice crystal powder and white glaze color options. The sale will start in the country from 25 February. The company also announced a bunch of accessories such as car mounts, leather sleeves and protective covers.

Dual-SIM (Nano) Huawei Mate X2 runs Android 10 with EMUI 11.0. On the outside, the phone has a 6.60-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,160×2,700 pixels with a 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 456ppi pixels density. When unfolded, you get an 8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,200. x2,480 pixels. With this, 90 Hz refresh rate, 180 Hz touch sampling rate and 413 PPI pixel density are available. The phone is powered by the Octa-core Kirin 9000 SoC and Mali-G78 GPU. It comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage which is expandable through Huawei’s Nano memory card (up to 256GB).
For photography, this phone has a 50-megapixel primary camera with f / 1.9 lens and optical image stabilization (OIS) support, plus a 16-megapixel secondary camera with ultra-wide-angle f / 2.2 lens, f / A 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 2.4 aperture and an 8-megapixel fourth camera with OIS support and f / 4.4 aperture is present. For selfie, it has a 16 megapixel camera with f / 2.2 lens. However, a capsule-shaped hole-punch cutout has been given for the selfie camera, indicating a dual selfie camera.
Connectivity options on the Huawei Mate X2 include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port for charging. Sensors onboard include a gravity sensor, infrared (IR) sensor, barometer, gyroscope, compass, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The Huawei Mate X2 also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The company has packed a 4,500Ah battery in the phone which supports 55W fast charging (charger included in the box).
