Tata’s cheapest SUV launched, price starts from ₹ 5.49 lakh, book for ₹ 21 thousand

The basic pure variant of the Tata Punch SUV was officially launched in India at a starting price of ₹ 5.49 Lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). Tata Punch will be available in a variety of color combinations. Tornado Blue, Calypso Red, Meteor Bronze, Atomic Orange, Tropical Mist, Daytona Gray and Orcus White are the colors in the issue.


The high-riding micro SUV will compete with rivals like Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Mahindra KUV100. It will also lock horns with the Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger.

The Tata Punch measures 3,827 mm in length, 1,742 mm in width and 1,615 mm in height. The wheelbase of the SUV is 2,425 mm and the ground clearance is 187 mm. Its boot storage capacity is 366 liters.


The Tata Punch has a powerful style that is short and catchy. Despite its small size, the car has a significant visual presence on the road. It comes with stylish projector headlights. The sleek and high position LED daytime running lights complement the Humanity line well. The fog lights are located at each end of a massive black grille with a unique mesh design on the lower front profile.

The side profile is two-tone, with the glass section painted black and the roof painted in a different color theme. Other design features include dual-colour ORVMs, a sturdy beltline, black body cladding, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails and small LED taillights. The rear look is reminiscent of the Datsun redi-GO, though it is unique.

Cabin and Features

The Tata Punch features a small interior with doors that open at a 90-degree angle for easy entry and exit. It gets a sporty flat bottom and a D-cut multifunction steering wheel.
