New Delhi: The third match of the Test series between India and England will be played in Leeds from Wednesday. Team India is leading 1-0 in the five-match series. Team India will try to consolidate their lead in the series by winning the Leeds Test. With this win, the Indian team will also ensure that they do not lose the series. All eyes will be on which 11 players of Team India will enter the field in Leeds. The Indian team is in excellent form in the two matches of the series. In such a situation, there is little hope of change in playing 11 in the third Test.
Ravindra Jadeja was not able to do much with the bowling in the first two matches and Ravindra Jadeja could be out of the team for the third Test. Jadeja could not take a single wicket in the Lord’s Test. However, his performance with the bat has been average. He has made a significant contribution by coming at number seven. In the first test, Ravindra Jadeja bowled 16 overs and did not take a single wicket. England batsmen did not have any problem in playing Jadeja. In the second test, he bowled 28 overs and conceded 48 runs. He failed to put pressure on the England batsmen. On the other hand, England spinner Moeen Ali took three wickets.
Jadeja may be dropped from the playing XI considering his performance. Star off-spinner R Ashwin can be taken in his place. If given a chance, this will be Ashwin’s first match of the Test series.
