New Delhi: India’s 4x400m mixed relay team has won a bronze medal at the Under-20 World Athletics Championships in Nairobi. This is India’s fifth medal in the history of the Under-20 World Athletics Championships. Team India consisted of Bharat S, Priya Mohan, Sammy and Kapil. The Indian team finished third in the championship final with a timing of 3:20.60.
Nigeria won the gold medal in 3:19.70 and Poland took the silver in 3:19.80. India entered the final as the second-best overall team with a record time of 3:23.36 in the morning’s championship heat. However, this record did not remain in India’s name for long and it was demolished by Nigeria in the second heat with a time of 3:21.66.
