Veteran carmaker Skoda is going to launch the Kushaq Monte Carlo variant in India on 9 May. This new car will be launched in the market as a sportier looking variant of the compact SUV that was launched in India last year. The new Kushak Monte Carlo Edition will be the top variant. It is expected that this edition can be offered with manual and automatic 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI engines. At the same time, its price can be between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 19.50 lakh. All these prices are ex-showroom.

Let us tell you that Skoda has launched several Monte Carlo variants in the past. Some similar updates are expected to be found in the special edition of Kushak as well. The model is expected to get a new black-out as well as contrast red highlights throughout the body profile. On the other hand, other major sporty elements could include a black lip spoiler for the front bumper, sporty diffuser design on the rear bumper, black side skirting, and more. Apart from this, this model will be stamped with ‘Monte Carlo’ badge to make it look better and different from other models.

Talking about the engine, the Kushak Monte Carlo Edition will be offered with two petrol engines. In which the first will be the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI which will generate 113 bhp and 175 Nm of peak torque. At the same time, there will be another 1.5 liter 4-cylinder TSI engine that will be capable of generating 148 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. In terms of transmission, the 1.0-litre TSI is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with an optional 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.5-litre TSI is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
