Rupee Is Trading Slow Against Dollar, Came At 78.04 In Early Trade
Rupee Vs Dollar: The rupee fell by six paise to 78.04 in early trade on Tuesday due to continuous outflow of foreign funds and strengthening of the dollar. In the Interbank Foreign Currency Exchange market, the rupee opened at 78 against the US dollar, then fell to 78.04 with a weak trend, showing a decline of six paise against the previous closing price.
Rupee closed at 7 paise on Monday
On Monday, the rupee closed with a gain of seven paise at 77.98 and today the rupee opened at 78.00 i.e. 2 paise down against the dollar in early trade. The reason behind the fall in the rupee is the strengthening of the dollar and the reason behind the rise in the dollar is the buying of foreign funds in the global markets.
Dollar index status
The dollar index, which reflects the position of the US dollar against the six major currencies, was down 0.36 per cent at 104.32. Meanwhile, Global Oil Index Brent crude futures fell 0.91 percent to $115.17 per barrel.
