Ingredients

  • 1 cup khoya (mawa)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 2 tablespoons chopped almonds
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cashews
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Few saffron strands (optional)

How to Make Mewa Bite

  1. Heat ghee in a pan on low flame and add khoya.
  2. Cook the khoya until it becomes soft and slightly changes color.
  3. Add sugar and continue stirring until it melts completely.
  4. Add all chopped dry fruits, raisins, and cardamom powder.
  5. Mix the mixture well and cook for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Turn off the flame and transfer the mixture to a greased plate or tray.
  7. Spread it evenly and let it cool for 10–15 minutes.
  8. Once slightly set, cut it into square or diamond-shaped pieces.
  9. Allow it to cool completely before storing.
