Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (penne, macaroni, or any type)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 4–5 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 small capsicum (chopped)
  • 1 medium tomato (chopped)
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup fresh cream
  • ½ cup grated cheese
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon chilli flakes
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander or basil for garnish

How To Make Creamy Pasta

  1. Boil the pasta in hot salted water until it becomes soft but firm.
  2. Drain the water and keep the boiled pasta aside.
  3. Heat butter and olive oil in a pan.
  4. Add garlic and onion, sauté until golden and fragrant.
  5. Add capsicum and tomato, cook for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Pour in milk and stir until it thickens slightly.
  7. Add fresh cream and grated cheese, mix well to get a smooth texture.
  8. Season with black pepper, chilli flakes, oregano, and salt.
  9. Add the boiled pasta and mix gently so that sauce coats every piece.
  10. Cook for another 2 minutes and turn off the flame.

  • Do not over-boil the pasta, it should remain slightly firm (al dente).
