Besan Ke Laddoo: It is one of the most loved and traditional Indian sweets. Ingredients For Besan Ke Laddoo
- 2 cups Besan (Gram Flour)
- ¾ cup Ghee (Clarified Butter)
- ¾ cup Powdered Sugar
- ¼ teaspoon Cardamom Powder (Elaichi)
- 2 tablespoons Chopped Nuts (cashew, almonds, or pistachios – optional)
Step-by-Step Method
Step 1: Roast the Besan
- Heat ghee in a heavy-bottom pan on low flame.
- Add besan and roast it slowly while stirring continuously.
- Keep stirring to avoid lumps and burning.
- The mixture will release a rich nutty aroma and turn golden brown. This may take around 12–15 minutes.
Step 2: Add Cardamom & Nuts
- Once the besan is perfectly roasted, add cardamom powder and chopped nuts.
- Mix well and turn off the heat. Let it cool slightly.
Step 3: Add Sugar
- When the mixture is warm (not hot), add powdered sugar.
- Mix thoroughly so that sugar blends evenly with besan and ghee.
Step 4: Shape the Laddoos
- Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into round laddoos using your palms.
- If the mixture feels too dry, add a teaspoon of warm ghee.
Step 5: Cool and Store
- Allow the laddoos to cool completely before storing.
- Keep them in an airtight container; they stay fresh for up to 2 weeks.
