Prepare dry fruit chikki before Makar Sankranti


The festival of Makar Sankranti is about to come. This festival is one such festival which is celebrated every year in the month of January with great enthusiasm. There is a tradition of donating sesame and jaggery on this festival. The festival of Makar Sankranti is celebrated on the entry of Sun into Capricorn. In such a situation, people make many types of dishes from jaggery on this day. One of these is peanut and jaggery chikki. Most of the people know how to make it and it is very tasty to eat. However, if you do not want to eat peanut chikki, then you can make dry fruit chikki in the same way. It does not require a lot of ingredients. Actually, only two to three ingredients are used for this and chikki is prepared from this.

Ingredients – Jaggery.

Dried fruits (almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios, poppy seeds, walnuts, raisins)

Recipe of Dry Fruits – First of all cut your favorite dry fruits into small pieces. Now fry them lightly in a pan and take them out in a plate. Now fry these dry fruits without the help of ghee or oil, only then its taste will be better. Now put small pieces of jaggery in a pan and put water and ghee in it and put it on the gas. Meanwhile, keep in mind that the jaggery will burn when the flame of the gas slows down. Now when the jaggery melts well, bubbles will start rising from it. Now cook this jaggery for four to five minutes. Meanwhile, keep in mind that the flame of the gas should be low continuously and now take a little water in a vessel and put a drop of jaggery in it. In the meantime, if the jaggery becomes like a solid ball, then turn off the gas. Now put all the chopped dry fruits in this jaggery and mix it well and also add cardamom powder. Then put ghee in a plate and put all the jaggery and dry fruits and turn it on the plate. When it cools down, cut it with a knife and grind it into small pieces.
