PM Modi will give the gift of international airport to Kushinagar, will visit tomorrow

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh on October 20. PM Modi will inaugurate an international airport here. Let us tell you that Kushinagar is also known as Mahaparinirvana Sthal of Mahatma Buddha. Culture ministry sources said on Tuesday that Buddhist monks from Sri Lanka would also be the state’s special guests at the inauguration of the international airport.

According to the information, a delegation of about 123 people from Sri Lanka will be present here. More importantly, the visiting delegation from Sri Lanka will bring the stone relics of Lord Buddha to India after a long gap of 141 years. Among the delegates coming from Sri Lanka are 12 Buddhist monks. Vaskaduva will lead the Buddhist monks, who are the current great heroes of the temple. The delegation will also include the deputy heads of the four Nikats – Ashgaria, Amarpura, Ramaniya and Malvatta.

Five Sri Lankan cabinet ministers will also be present in the delegation. The metal relics of Lord Buddha will be given a separate seat on the Sri Lankan Airlines plane. Let us tell that these relics went to Sri Lanka from India in 1880. Metal remains are said to have great importance in Buddhism. This is worshiped before the idol is worshipped.
