Pat Cummins repeats 127 year old Gabba history


Sports Desk. The first Test of Ashes 2021-22 between England and Australia is being played at the Gabba in Brisbane. In the Gabba, England captain Joe Root won the toss and decided to bat first. Cummins took 5 wickets for 38 runs in the debut test as captain. Cummins is only the second player from Australia to take 5 wickets in Test debut as captain. Before him, George Giffen had done this feat 127 years ago. For your information, let us tell you that the late fast bowler George Giffen took six wickets for 155 runs against England in the year 1894.
