PAN-Aadhaar Linking Rule Changed From July 1
PAN-Aadhaar Linking Fine: Are you aware this is today’s final date to connect your PAN card to Aadhaar. If you’re not yet doing it, make it a priority to do it now or you will have to pay twice the penalty starting tomorrow. Double penalty due to the fact that the last day to link your PAN together with Aadhaar card issued to UIDAI is 31 March. following that, it was extended to 30 June 2022, with the penalty of 500 rupees.
Today is the day that the last day for linking your PAN-Aadhaar to an additional late fee of 500 is also set to close, and you’ll be required to pay twice the amount of fine i.e. 1,000 rupees in full from tomorrow. Importantly, on March 31, the government set a late charge that was Rs. 500. Tomorrow i.e. beginning July 1st, only after you have paid the late fee of Rs . 1000 and you can avail the option of connecting your Aadhaar PAN.
PAN as well as Aadhar link process
Visit the Income Tax Department website https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/portal.
Select then the Link Aadhaar option.
Once you have this information, in order to view the status of your account, must enter the information for your PAN By clicking Click Here.
If you can see PAN link along with Aadhaar Then you have PAN as well as Aadhaar linked. If the link isn’t present, you need to connect it.
Go to the website of https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home and select the option of Link Aadhaar.
Then, you’ll be required to provide Aadhaar details. After that, you will be asked to select OTP. OTP option.
Then next, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number registered to you and you need to enter it.
Then the fine is paid, you PAN as well as Aadhaar are linked when the fee is paid.

In the Linking request, you can click CHALLAN NO./ITNS 280.
Once you have selected the Tax Applicable option.
You’ll have to pay a penalty of Rs 500 before June 30.
Choose the method of payment for the fine.
Then, make the payment using the Net Bank Processing or via Card Mode.
Enter your PAN Number and Assessment Year.
Enter the captcha.
PAN along with Aadhaar are linked once you click the submit button.
