New Delhi: For the last few months, once again there is an atmosphere of panic in the world due to the loss of Corona relief. Found in South Africa for the first time, the Omicron type is prone to rapid spread and can cause a major crisis in countries like India. The World Health Organization (WHO) has also warned that the risk is very high and could prove fatal in some areas.
In a directive to its 194 member countries, United Nations (UN) body WHO asked them to keep the vaccination campaign intensified. WHO said there are too many mutants in Omicron. There are also some of them that can cause big explosions. However, WHO also said that research will have to be done on the possibility of overcoming immunity with the Omicron vaccine. The WHO said that more information would come out about it in the next few moments, which would make the picture more clear.
Meanwhile, epidemiologists estimate that by the end of this week, the Omicron variant could lead to 10,000 new cases per day in South Africa. This is a huge figure considering the population of South Africa. “We estimate that by the end of this week we could reach about 10,000 cases per day,” said South African specialist Dr Salim Abdul Karim.
