New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi has reached America on his three-day (PM Modi US visit) visit. Today, on the first day of his visit, he will meet the CEOs of five major US companies in Washington. PM Modi is likely to discuss developing India-US trade prospects.
Significantly, on the invitation of US President Joe Biden, PM Modi is on physical stay in America from 23 to 25 September 2021. However, he had left New Delhi only on the evening of 22 September. This is PM Modi’s first visit to the US since Biden was elected President last year. However, before this there have been three virtual talks between the two leaders – during the Quad Summit in March, the Climate Change Summit in April and the G-7 Summit in June.
American company Qualcomm CEO Cristiano R. Amon, Adobe’s Shantanu Narain, First Solar’s Mark Widmer, General Atomics’ Vivek Lal, Blackstone’s Stephen A. Schwarzman will meet PM Narendra Modi today. PM Modi will meet all these CEOs separately. PM Modi is also scheduled to address the Quad Summit and will return home on 26 September.
