The Tata Sierra is making a strong comeback with a new-age electric avatar that blends nostalgia with innovation. This SUV brings back the legendary nameplate with a futuristic design, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable performance. Designed for Indian conditions, the new Tata Sierra EV focuses on comfort, space, and intelligent connectivity while maintaining the brand’s rugged DNA.

Engine

The new Tata Sierra will be powered by Tata’s advanced Gen 2 EV architecture. It is expected to offer both electric and petrol versions, catering to a wider audience. The electric version will feature a dual-motor setup that delivers strong torque and smooth acceleration. Tata’s Ziptron technology ensures efficient energy use and reliable performance across all terrains.

Mileage

The Tata Sierra EV is expected to deliver a driving range of around 500 kilometers on a single charge. Fast charging capability will allow the battery to charge up to 80% in less than 60 minutes. For the petrol variant, the expected mileage is around 16–18 km/l depending on driving conditions. This makes it suitable for both city commutes and long-distance travel.

Other Specifications

The SUV will feature a spacious cabin with a panoramic glass roof, digital instrument cluster, and advanced infotainment system. It will include connected car features such as remote access, voice commands, and wireless smartphone integration. Safety will be enhanced with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The Sierra will ride on 19-inch alloy wheels and offer a ground clearance suitable for Indian roads.

Price and Offer

The Tata Sierra is expected to be priced between ₹25 lakh and ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom) for the electric variant. Tata Motors is also expected to offer attractive finance and exchange benefits during the launch phase. The petrol version might start around ₹17 lakh. Official pricing and booking details will be announced closer to its market introduction.

Another Features

Other features include ambient lighting, climate control, premium upholstery, and multiple driving modes. The vehicle will also support regenerative braking, hill assist, and terrain response systems for improved driving comfort. The Sierra will likely be equipped with OTA (Over-the-Air) update support to keep its software features up to date.

Look and Design

The Tata Sierra retains its classic silhouette inspired by the original 1990s model but now sports a more futuristic touch. It gets sleek LED headlamps, a bold front grille with illuminated logo, and a muscular stance. The large glass area and clean lines reflect Tata’s modern design language while paying tribute to the original Sierra’s heritage.

Performance

With its Gen 2 EV platform, the Tata Sierra promises smooth, silent, and powerful performance. The electric version offers instant torque for quick acceleration, while the suspension setup ensures a balanced ride even on rough terrains. The combination of performance and refinement makes the Sierra a premium yet practical SUV choice in the electric segment.
