The weather across India is changing rapidly after continuous rain in several regions. Following the showers in Delhi, the atmosphere has turned pleasant, and the residents of Delhi-NCR are now experiencing cool mornings and evenings. People have almost stopped using air conditioners. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in several states of the country, including Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, in the coming days.

Weather Conditions in Delhi

On October 10, Delhi’s maximum temperature is expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will stay around 19 degrees Celsius. The earlier rainfall had brought down the temperature, giving people a feeling of slight cold, but now the temperature is likely to rise again. In the coming days, the maximum temperature in Delhi may fluctuate between 30 to 34 degrees Celsius, and the minimum may remain between 19 to 21 degrees Celsius. Currently, no rainfall is predicted in Delhi-NCR for the next five days, and the skies are expected to stay clear.

Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh Weather Update

Snowfall and rain have been continuing for the past three days in several parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and high-altitude regions of Jammu and Kashmir. The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for certain areas due to the possibility of heavy rainfall. In Uttarakhand, rain has been predicted for Gopeshwar, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Harshil, and Lansdowne. Similarly, in Himachal Pradesh, Manali, Solan, Burhil, and Chamba are expected to experience rain on October 10.

Rainfall Expected in Southern States

Apart from the northern region, southern states are also likely to receive rainfall. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe between October 10 and 14. Coastal Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema could see heavy rainfall again between October 10 and 11. People in these regions have been advised to stay alert and avoid unnecessary travel during peak rain hours.

Rain Likely in Eastern and Western India

The eastern parts of the country, especially Odisha, may also witness light rainfall over the next two days. The western states are not entirely dry either — parts of Gujarat are likely to experience rain within the next 24 hours. This change in weather is expected to bring relief from heat in many areas, but it may also affect transportation and outdoor work in regions facing heavy rain.

Rainfall Alert in Northeast India

The northeast region is also under watch. According to forecasts, isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, and Tripura are likely to receive rain over the next two days. These showers will keep the temperature moderate in these regions. However, travellers are advised to keep rain gear ready and stay updated with local weather alerts.

Precaution for Travellers

Travellers heading toward hilly areas have been advised to remain cautious due to slippery roads and possible landslides. The combination of rain and snowfall in higher altitudes can make roads dangerous for vehicles. The weather department has urged tourists to check travel advisories before visiting mountain destinations during this period.

Overall Weather Outlook

The upcoming three days, October 10th to 12th, will be crucial for many states as rain patterns are expected to vary across regions. While Delhi will see clear skies, the northern and southern states may experience intermittent rainfall. The changing weather marks the seasonal shift and hints at the arrival of winter in northern India soon.
