According to the Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention, South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Ethiopia and Egypt are among the continent’s highest-case African countries.
In terms of number of cases, Southern Africa is the most affected region, followed by North Africa and East Africa, while Central Africa is the least affected region in the continent according to the African Health Agency.
According to the Africa CDC, African countries have received approximately 33.8 million Kovid-19 vaccine supplements from various sources, mainly through bilateral agreements outside the COVAX facility and the COVAX facility.
