SKOPJE: According to the Ministry of Health, the number of Kovid-19 related deaths in northern Macedonia exceeded 4,000 on Tuesday. It was reported that 45 fatal attacks took place within 24 hours.
According to the report, the country’s medical staff conducted 4,555 tests in the last 24 hours, of which 1,259 came out positive. Thirty-five coronovirus patients lost their lives in the same period, bringing the fatal number to 4,022 in the country.
On Tuesday, the total number of confirmed coronovirus cases in the country reached 136,426 with 111,413. The Government of Northern Macedonia on Monday decided to implement new restrictive measures for the period between 7 April and 20 April.
With the exception of delivery and services, all sports and training centers have to be closed throughout the country. A nationwide curfew will be in force between 8 pm. And 5 pm local time.
Meanwhile, according to information released by the World Health Organization on 2 April, 269 candidate vaccines are still being developed globally – 85 of them in clinical trials – in countries including Germany, China, Russia, the UK and the US .
As the world struggles to contain the epidemic, vaccination is already underway in some countries with previously authorized coronavirus vaccines.
