There are reports that the government spends two or three times the estimated cost of building the flyover. But unprecedented and unimaginable work has been done in Delhi ever since the Kejriwal government took power. All the flyovers constructed during the tenure of the Kejriwal government were completed ahead of schedule, and the projects were completed at less than the estimated cost.
Finding solutions to the daily transport problems of the people of Delhi, the Kejriwal government built several flyover projects in the country’s capital. The government completed both the flyover projects at Shastrigarh Park and Seelampur in record time. Further, both the projects were completed against the estimated provision of Rs 303 crore at a cost of only Rs 250 crore.
Which led to a savings of Rs 23 crore. With the completion of these two flyovers, 1.5 lakh vehicles are relieved of traffic problem every day. The Delhi government saved Rs 125 crore in 10 works done in this project. The estimated cost of the entire project was Rs 422 crore. Against this, the Kejriwal government completed it for only Rs 297 crore. This saved Delhiites Rs 125 crore.
