Kollywood Actress Halitha Shameem, who made her directorial debut with Kollywood ‘Peepli (2014), shot to fame with the critically acclaimed film Sillu Karupatti (2019). The director is now ready with his next film, titled Aelay (2021). The recently released trailer has garnered a lot of positive attention.

Elle is reportedly based on the story of a father-son relationship, starring Samuthirakani and Manikandan K. Samuthirakani plays the role of a single parent who works as an ice cream seller on a bicycle. Other artists in the cast are non-professionals, who are residents of Manjunayakapatti village in Drangal district, Tamil Nadu. The entire film has been shot in the village on the same schedule, which will now be released on 12 February.
In the recently released trailer, which is around the death of Samuthirakani and how he lived his life to get a good response from Tamil audience, Manikandan played the role of Samuthirakani’s son in the film. The trailer depicts a realistic and fun life.
