Olympic medalist Sumit Antill receives the first ever customized XUV700 from Mahindra. The business announced the new information on Twitter. At the 2020 Summer Paralympics, Antille won the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw F64 category. According to Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, the gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 will be given the XUV700 Javelin variant. Named the XUV700 Javelin Edition, the SUV will also be offered to 2016 Olympic and Paralympic gold medalists Neeraj Chopra and Avani Lekhara.
With a distinctive color scheme, the new XUV700 Javelin Edition pays tribute to the Olympic gold medalists. The automobile has a golden hue which can be seen on the vertical grille slats at the front, rear decals and the brand emblem. The interiors of the car get a similar golden treatment which complements the exterior golden motif of the car. Other than the visual changes, the rest of the details remain the same.
According to the company, since its inception, the firm has received over 65,000 reservations for the XUV700. With a target to deliver at least 14,000 XUV700s by January 14 next year, deliveries to customers will begin today.
The top-of-the-line XUV was initially priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). After the business got the first 25,000 bookings for the XUV700, the cost was reduced. The car is now priced between Rs 12.49 Lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 22.89 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec AX7 Luxury (Seven Seater) + AWD trim.
