West Bengal College Service Commission will conduct the 23rd State Eligibility Test for Assistant Professors on January 9, 2022. Eligibility for Assistant Professor will depend on the overall performance of the candidate in both the SET papers. As per the commission, the candidates who qualify the eligibility test for Assistant Professor will be subject to the norms and regulations for the recruitment of Assistant Professor in West Bengal.
The application forms to register for this exam are available on the official website of the commission. The last date for submission of application form is 15th September. The examination fee is Rs 1200 for general category, Rs 300 for SC, ST, PWD and transgender candidates and Rs 600 for OBC and EWS candidates.
The examination will consist of two papers: Paper-I will consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions, carrying 2 marks each. The questions which will be of general nature are intended to assess the teaching, research aptitude of the candidate. It will mainly be designed to test the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Paper-II will consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions carrying 2 marks each based on the subject opted by the candidate.
