A recent study claimed that consuming coffee before exercise can prove to be extremely beneficial for your body. Researchers said that 30 minutes before starting a workout every day helps in burning a lot of fat.
Researchers at the University of Granada, Spain, said the team suggested that caffeine increases fat oxidation, helping you burn fat. Significantly, caffeine is one of the most consumed substances in the world. But so far there has been little research about its beneficial effects.
Doctor Francisco Jose Amaro Ghate, who led the study, said that it is generally recommended to exercise in the morning on an empty stomach to increase oxidation of fat. However, this recommendation may lack scientific basis, as it is unknown whether the increase is due to exercising in the morning or staying without food for long periods of time.
Study done like this: In order to understand the effects of caffeine on athletic performance, the researchers asked 15 male participants to complete an exercise test four times at seven-day intervals, during which their fat burn levels were also routinely measured.
The participants took either 3 mL / kg of caffeine or a placebo at eight in the morning and five in the evening. Results showed that participants who consumed caffeine burned more fat than those who took placebo. Doctor Amaro stated that the results of our study showed that 30 minutes before performing an aerobic exercise test, caffeine is helpful in increasing fat oxidation.
60 percent of the population in Britain is obese The report reported that more than 60 per cent of the population in the UK are either overweight or obese, meaning they have a BMI (body mass index) above 25. Obesity has been linked to major causes of death worldwide, including diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Around 95 million cups of coffee are consumed every day in the UK. The findings of this study have been published in the Journal of the International Journal of Sports Nutrition.
There is more benefit than exercising in the afternoon: According to the researchers, this process will benefit more from exercising in the afternoon. Indeed, during the study, the researchers found that fat oxidation during exercise was much higher in the afternoon than in the morning. The results found that mixing caffeine and moderate exercise in the afternoon is the best way to burn fat.
