Kolkata: The Missionaries of Charity on Thursday offered prayers in the memory of its founder Mother Teresa on her 111th birth anniversary. Sisters of Mother’s House sang hymns and prayed in memory of Teresa near her mausoleum.
Paying tribute to Mother Teresa, Goa’s Bishop Alex Dias said, “Mother is not among us, but she is in heaven praying for all of us, taking care of all of us. The world is hungry for love and peace. There is no love and justice. There are so many battles and wars. Mother showed love to all. If everyone shows equal love towards each other, then the world will be a peaceful place. I take this opportunity to pray that all the people in this Live with the spirit of love. Mother gave us this message that she received from Jesus Christ and we should all follow it.”
