Delicious Lotus Root Crisps in Sriracha Sauce to Try Recipe

You all must have tried the popular Chinese cuisine, food items like Hakka Noodles, Chicken Manchurian, Hot and Sour Soup. We have come up with a new recipe for you to try at home. Another hugely famous and all-time favorite Chinese dish is Lotus Root Crisps in Sriracha Sauce.


Chopped lotus root: 150 grams.

Potato starch: 2 tbsp.

Reference. oil for frying

Ginger chopped: 1 tsp.

Garlic chopped: 2 tsp.

Fresh red chili: 1 tsp.

Dry Kashmiri Red Chilli broken: 2 nos.

Sriracha Sauce: 3 Tbsp.

Tomato Ketchup: 2 tbsp.

Red chili paste: 1 tbsp.

Water: few drops

salt to taste

White pepper powder: to taste

Castor Sugar: 1 tsp.


First, peel, wash and cut the lotus root. Then wash them again in running cold water and coat them in potato starch and keep aside. Fry lotus root in medium hot oil till golden brown and crisp. Heat oil in a pan and add dry red chilli, ginger, garlic and fresh red chilli and fry it. Add Sriracha sauce, ketchup and chili paste and mix well. Add water, salt, white pepper powder and castor sugar to make a smooth chutney. Add the fried lotus root and fry while making sure that the prepared sauce covers the lotus root evenly. ready!
