New Delhi: Congress working president Sonia Gandhi spoke to RJD national president and former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav over the phone on Tuesday. Sonia Gandhi spoke to RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav over phone after a meeting of party general secretaries, state in-charge and state Congress Committee presidents in Delhi yesterday.
RJD national president and former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav said that he has spoken to Sonia Gandhi and asked her to unite all like-minded parties. Lalu Yadav said, “I spoke to Sonia Gandhi over phone and her health was also fine. I also asked her to make a strong choice to unite all like-minded parties and convene a meeting with her.”
Recently, a well-known leader used abusive words for Bhakta Charan Das, in-charge of Congress, for political blunders. Apart from Congress, other parties have also reacted sharply to Lalu Prasad’s statement. After Lalu Prasad’s statement towards the leader of the Dalit community, many leaders including Meira Kumar have given a statement. Earlier, Lalu had asked the Congress to forge an alliance with the Congress to forfeit the bail. Sonia’s phone is being seen as an attempt to treat Lalu.
