Ducati India has introduced a new top-of-the-line variant in the Panigale V4 range with the new Panigale V4SP. The 2021 Ducati Panigale V4 SP is priced at Rs 36.07 lakh, which is Rs 28.40 lakh above the V4 S. All prices are ex-showroom. The top-of-the-line Panigale V4 SP is a more track-focused version and is benefiting from a number of upgrades aimed at saving weight.
The motorcycles feature new and lighter alloy wheels along with carbon fiber bodywork at some places which helps in reducing the weight by around 1.4 kg. Visually, the design of the Ducati Panigale V4 SP is similar to the standard model but it differentiates itself from the distinctive ‘winter test’ look. The facelift is inspired by the pre-season MotoGP and World SBK motorcycles and supports the black paint scheme with the red variant and brushed-aluminum finish on the fuel tank.
What’s special about the new Ducati motorcycle: Other upgrades include Marchesini brushed magnesium wheels on top of brushed aluminum wheels on the V4 S and tyre-wrapped Pirelli Diablo Supercross SP. The model is getting with carbon fiber wings, heel guards and front fenders. With all the upgrades, the dry weight now stands at 173kg, which is 1kg less than the V4 S.
Meanwhile, power is available with the same 1103 cc, Desmosedici Stradale engine that makes 211 Bhp at 13,000 rpm and 124 Nm of peak torque at 9,500 rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by a half-active Ohlins unit while braking performance continues to be offered on top-of-the-line Brembo units as well.
Ducati is also offering the Panigale V4 SP track accessories which include an open carbon fiber clutch cover, a license plate removal plug and machine mirror block-off plates. There is also a Ducati Data Analyzer + GPS module. The bike continues to come with several electronic aids which include quick-shifter riding and power modes, traction control, wheel control, launch control and more.
