Irfan Pathan’s father used to sweep the mosque, had spent his childhood in extreme poverty


New Delhi: Irfan Pathan was not only a good bowler in any era but also a great all-rounder of an Indian team. Irfan has made a different identity from Vadodara, Gujarat. Although he has been away from Team India for the last few years but still he is performing in Ranji. Pathan’s father used to sweep the mosque and his salary was Rs. 200 to Rs. 250 in those days.


Obviously, Irfan did not have enough money to buy cricket related material. Irfan often came home to buy second hand shoes from his nearby market and sew them himself. Pathan’s favorite sport is kite flying which he does with great fervor. Irfan Pathan was only 19 when he made his international debut in the Adelaide Test against Australia in December 2003. But slowly he started making his place in the team, Pathan made a splash on the tour of Pakistan and from there he became India’s leading player. Bowler.


Pathan’s stars were rising with each passing match. Pathan had become India’s strike bowler. He also took wickets in ODIs. Pathan made a record of taking 100 wickets in 59 matches during this period. Pathan is the fastest bowler to take 100 wickets for India till date. There is also Irfan Pathan to take the second hat-trick in Test cricket for India. Pathan did this feat against Pakistan in a test match played in Karachi in 2006.
