Ioniq 5 Electric SUV From Hyundai Launch This Year Know About Range And Price
We have reported earlier also how Hyundai is planning to bring more electric cars to India. Now, the first wave of electric cars from the company has been announced as the Ioniq 5 electric SUV. It will be a fully electric premium SUV, which can be launched in the second half of this year. Let’s take a quick first look review of the car and tell you all you need to know about the Ioniq 5.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is based on the new E-GMP platform for electric cars, so it has nothing to do with other petrol/diesel cars. It is a large SUV but has the shape of an interesting crossover. It has pixelated headlamps with DRLs. It also gets flush door handles and bigger 20-inch wheels.
The interior is also amazing as it has been designed differently from other Hyundai cars. The car has been given a plane floor for more legroom and it has a longer wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The center console also slides forward/back. Most of its interiors are made from eco-friendly materials like PET bottles, plant-based yarns and natural wool yarns and eco-processed leather.
The Ioniq 5 will come with a 58 kWh or 72.6 kWh battery pack with AWD only or rear motor mode only. The rear motor can give a range of up to 500 km in mode. The Ioniq 5 also gets the option of vehicle-to-vehicle charging along with the usual fast AC/DC charger. It is also the first Hyundai car to get the Augmented Reality head-up display. The Ioniq 5 will be a premium product and will be expected to cost around Rs 40 lakh.
