New Delhi. The schedule for the assembly elections of five states has been announced. In such a situation, if you do not have a Voter ID card, then there is no need to worry. Voter ID card is lost, stolen, mutilated or you have not got it made yet, then you will be able to vote by showing these 11 documents at the voting center. You can exercise your franchise even without Voter ID. Apart from Voter ID, there are 11 other documents with the help of which you will be allowed to vote. These include your Aadhar card, PAN card, bank passbook and passport etc.
The Election Commission on Saturday (January 8, 2022) announced the dates for the assembly elections in five states (Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur). Politically, the most important of these will be voting in seven phases this time in UP. It will begin on February 10 with voting for 58 seats in 11 districts of the western part of the state. To cast your vote, it is necessary that your name should be in the voter list. By visiting the website of the Election Commission, you yourself can find your name in the voter list. There are two ways of doing this. Your name can be checked in the voter list by giving name, date of birth and some other necessary details. Another way is that through the EPIC number on the voter card, the name can be searched in the voter list. EPIC Number is also known as Voter ID Card Number. After giving the details, the voter list will appear, in which you will have to see your details.
