Good News For OLA Electric Scooter Users Can Lock Scooter With Mobile App
Ola Electric is all set to roll out the new MoveOS 2 update for both its e-scooters S1 and S1 Pro very soon. Let us tell you that this is the first major OTA (over-the-air) update since the launch of the e-scooter in August last year. The company’s CEO and founder Bhavish Aggarwal has released a video, which shows what new updates he is going to bring to his electric scooter, which were not there before. Sharing the video on Twitter, Agarwal wrote, “We have Ola Electric App ready for MoveOS 2.” It is expected to be released by the end of April.
Scooter can be locked with the app
The new OTA update of the Ola Electric app is quite amazing. Let’s talk about the lock feature will be activated after the update is rolled out, so that you will be able to easily lock and unlock the scooter from your mobile phone. The new operating system also includes other features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and cruise control, which are aimed at making the journey of the riders smooth and smooth.
A new ride mode has been given in MoveOS 2, which will be named ‘Eco Mode’. According to Agarwal, if this electric scooter is driven at a speed of 45 kmph or less, then it will be able to give a range of around 170 km on a single charge. Apart from updating the OS, the S1 trim will get features that were earlier available only in the top variant S1 Pro.
Let us know that Ola Electric sells two variants – S1 and S1 Pro in the market. Both the e-scooters are powered by an 8.5kW mid drive IPM motor, which makes them technically one of the most powerful electric two-wheelers in the market currently. The entry-level S1 version gets a 2.98 kWh battery while the S1 Pro has a bigger battery pack of 3.97.
