There has been a demand for criminal action against the film actress Shruti Haasan among the political enthusiasts of the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. The Bharatiya Janata Party has filed a complaint against Shruti Haasan, daughter of Makkal Needhi Mayyam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan, alleging that Shruti along with Kamal Haasan visited the polling booth and violated the rules.
According to India Today news, after casting his vote on Tuesday, Kamal Haasan along with his daughters Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan visited Coimbatore South from where he is contesting. Kamal Haasan visited polling booths for voting information. During this, Shruti was also present with him. He then complained to the Election Commission of the BJP, accusing the BJP of promising to distribute money among voters if Tamil Nadu won the elections.
However, the BJP has now filed a complaint against Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti. On behalf of BJP National Women’s Wing leader Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP District President Nandakumar wrote a letter to the District Election Officer demanding that criminal action be taken against actress Sriti Haasan for visiting the polling stations.
The BJP has said in its complaint that there is a rule that no one is allowed to go to polling stations except booth agents. Let us know that the polling for the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly concluded on Tuesday peacefully and 71.79 percent voters exercised their franchise.
